3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain
This commandment forbids using God’s name carelessly, disrespectfully, deceitfully, or part of a joke for example. It includes false oaths, and any speech that dishonors God’s name.
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy
The Sabbath or saturday, is a day of rest dedicated to God. The commandment instructs believers to cease from work, reflect, worship, and honor God’s creation and deliverance. It emphasizes rest, renewal, and spiritual focus.
5. Honor your father and your mother
