I can’t express it enough of how very long its been since I’ve fully gotten back into writing since after graduating from high school in May 2018, then enrolling into SLCC in Lafayette to pursue Digital Media Design on campus until I exceeded to finish my final semester in the 2020 Spring online, remotely due to quarantine, which occurred during the period of mid-March and Early May. Mainly to say that as writing and language was always part of our lives to openly communicate and interact to engage from something we use to greatly benefit each of us in different ways. Back in high school, of my freshmen year, I was intrigued onto doing art, when I’ve found it on my own after watching art videos on youtube, not traditional drawing, it was more like digital design, like mobile design of manipulative artwork, an app called Picsart.<br /> <br /> Fast forward, I didn’t enjoy doing essays at the time back in my english classes due to when there was always a balance between, brainstorming, starting the rough draft, then assigning to the final draft once you’ve completed your first rough draft, and lastly making corrections on the final draft. Now, writing a rough draft, and typing the final draft was a game changer. However, I wasn’t too focused on writing skills and improving my skills of essays at the time. I was more onto finishing the assignment, since most of us were sick from the drought of writing.<br /> <br /> Until, when the world was at its peak during the early-mid center of the year 2020 in the March, where we were all facing the challenges, and issues in regards of the “COVID-pandemic” whilst it was my final semester at SLCC, we were instructed to resume classes, online. It was bittersweet from that point on until May 7th when we were doing the last day of our assignments on our own online, I never saw my classmates in person again. I had the social app most use till this very day, snapchat. While, many others did their own thing, to capture moments in real time. I persuaded myself to write, as a deed to check on others even when I never expected them to check on me.<br /> <br /> <br /> The word of thoughts from what I wanted to say with words to typing it, didn’t come forth, there was no reason. I would write without having feeling, to write what I feel doesn’t define me, shouldn’t define anyone either. Its how I speak from it, and those should do the same. Each time, on some days, when I’d write, whether if it’d be on a Monday, Friday, and other days, randomly. Around this period, remotely from home I worked on my digital design assignments, and survived until I earned my technical diploma in the mail, of the mid-summer. As there was political discussion, protests, riots, I passionately wrote to express words like I’ve never done before.<br /> Okay, turning the page to the year of 2021 in August, I started an online shop on the site, Red bubble. It wasn’t easy. Although as I gathered my own knowledge from youtube, tutorials on how to set up on getting started by what to do, and how to do it. I learned at firsthand, the process is tedious for those who pursues what they truly want to do.<br /> <br /> <br /> A goal of mines for Red bubble was to have my first sale and after almost four years, on March 24th, two months ago after checking my email randomly, Red bubble notified me that a customer had bought a gloss sticker from my shop, the words were both different, “be” was capitalized in a bold designed font, in a sky blue-toned color, “you” was lowercase in a curvy style font, in a purple-color. The sticker was cheap, they don’t need to be expensive. This customer was was from North Carolina, whoever that person was, I really hope the consumer liked the sticker.<br /> <br /> <br /> Alright, let’s cut to the chase. The long and short few important reasons why I returned to writing after many years since 2020 due to its importance, the more I’ve written whether it’d be from social media, in my notes, or in a google document, since after high school and college, to having the freedom to write is an amazing tool in life. Furthermore, as I grasped to face the reality within my guilt after taking writing for granted since high school, my purpose to dreaming alive in life has pursued for me to expand other great interest career options than just art.<br /> <br /> <br /> It could be anything, getting into journalism, writing film scripts, custom movie plots, poetic word writing, doing a blog of my own , or bringing ideas to life by imagination and wonders beyond. I’ve been asked what I would like to do if I were to attend college again, I said, “public speaking.” I’d do it. I understood that my chances that I won’t have to attend college to do other things I have a passion for. That’s where my journey to write comes from.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Moreover, as everyone is different from how they write, the unique abilities each possesses individually, for what is worth I am willing to stand out.<br /> For other significant purposes, in my life since I’ve attended elementary school, middle school, high school, and college till now, I was always fascinated with history. Even whilst I do understand most of it, not entirely everything, it has guided me to read, rethink, grow, and evolve to manifest within change for us to learn history and prevent ourselves from repeating it.<br /> <br /> The language of gossip in the news, and false information, I would like to break those barriers of telling nothing except the truth, the world has wasted time to make a profit of exposing people, like celebrities, I meant the good celebrities, the ones who are equally good human beings on the outside of fame, never strive to get attention, whilst many journalists, edited writers from articles, published sites try to insinuate drama, tear people down behind the scenes, and lens of the cameras to ruin, tarnish their image, destroying its reputation. In which, the imperfect candidates excelled at building bridges from leadership among those, values to deliver product, and lead to inspire and elevate the next generations after with ambition and clear vision for one, dozens, and all.<br /> <br /> <br /> At the moment, I am currently still working through with myself, I would like to start somewhere with working in the writing field, there is so much more out there than any of us would think. I been completely awakened to do something other than just art. There’s more to do for what’s ahead, it can’t be said more, to write freely as you're not held back by the limitations to journal and express beyond your ambition, and motivation, there is nothing stopping you from doing just that. So, stay creative, and don't fall behind on building yourself.
